Today I ordered a two piece white meat and it was awesome. The chicken was fresh and crispy and not too greasy. I must've come on a day when they changed the grease. It was really really great chicken. Also the biscuit was perfect. Normally they're so hard but this one was soft and flaky with just the right amount of honey drizzled on top. And it was twice the size of normal. Sooo good. I won't even take off a point for forgetting my jalapeño pepper. It was that good.
I have been here many years ago and was really put off by their terrible chicken. I just keep remembering how bad it was to the point of no return. Literally. Feeling rather brave again and, honestly, I have exhausted the search for great chicken at the other places, I took the gamble to come back. The reviews still aren't great, but some are based on the service. Importantly, the chicken has to be super awesome to make me return for more as I can forgive a little bad service. Since about six months ago, and multiple visits later, I can say that the chicken has remained consistently awesome. They are super crispy and tasty, and moist with the flavor penetrating to the bone which means the marinate time is long enough. Important. There is some seating inside, but I have never eaten there, looks pretty clean. Definitely deserves more stars.
